Anime a Sud

Location
The two guest houses of Anime a Sud are located in the historical center of Modica Alta, in the southeast of Sicily (the town of Modica is divided into Modica Alta (Upper Modica) and Modica Bassa (Lower Modica). They are surrounded by the magical and charming baroque atmosphere of this Sicilian corner, declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. They enjoy an ideal location that will allow you to discover on foot or by bike the treasures of the city: Baroque palaces, typical wrought iron balconies, secret gardens characterized by coves and prickly pears. Rent a car to explore the nearby area of Modica.

Hotel
Anime a Sud consists of Casa Kimiya and Residenza Hortus. Both are cozy and elegant, characterized by the ancient charm of the structures and the comfort of all modern amenities.
Casa Kimiyà is situated in Santa Lucia Street, 200 m away from San Giorgio Cathedral. It consists of two rooms, a stunning rooftop terrace with a 360 view of Modica, a lounge corner with sofa bed and balcony, a fully equipped kitchenette. Casa Kimiyà features a romantic atmosphere and is warmly recommended for all couples.
Residenza Hortus is located in a '500 building close to San Giorgio Cathedral. The Residenza has 3 Suites and a nice garden surrounded by high stone walls to enhance a full privacy. The garden offers a whirlpool and different areas in the shadow for relax, read and dine. The Residenza Hortus is recommended to sophisticated travelers, couples, honeymooners and groups of friends.

Smoking is not allowed and small pets are not welcome.

Rooms
Casa Kimiyà has a surface of approx. 90 sqm and offers 2 double bedrooms with memory-foam mattresses and each with own bathroom with shower. Further it has a kitchen area and comfortable living area. The furnishing and style is shabby-chic with a nice mix of traditional elements, contemporary art and designer details. The Casa Kimiyà provides all modern comforts and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Modica old town.
Residenza Hortus has a surface of approx. 350 sqm and one Suite has a round bed and a mini pool in the room, another Suite has a king-size bed and a fireplace and the third Suite has a normal double bed and a terrace. All rooms are equipped with a memory-foam mattresses and pillows, own bathroom with shower or tub and modern amenities. Residenza Hortus has a fully equipped kitchen, a wine cellar, an inviting living room and a nice garden with outdoor whirlpool with warm water (operating from April to October, unless a special request), sunning area and different garden furniture. All Suites are equipped in a minimal style with a nice mix of traditional elements, contemporary art and designer details. Guests have an enchanting view on the San Giorgio Cathedral.

Guests can only book the guest houses for exclusive use.

Services & Activities
Upon your arrival at Anime a Sud a welcome basket with sweet pastries and chocolate of Modica awaits you. Additional services and activities can be booked and are on request, as for example: rental of electric bikes, Sicilian cooking classes, winery tours with wine tasting, excursions and private guided tours, trekking and 4x4 tours, ceramic workshops. Only available for guests at the Residenza Hortus are massages, body treatments and a private chef.

Dinner – it is possible to organize on request a Mediterranean dinner with the house cook either in Hortus or in Kimiyà.

Tourist Tax – The municipality of Modica requires the payment of a tourist tax of € 1,00 per person/night (for the first 7 nights and valid for everyone from 18 to 65 years) and the tax has to be paid on spot.
