The whole town of Alberobello is declared a World Heritage Site due to the Trulli typical buildings. There are more than 1000 round and limestone buildings with cone-shaped roof from about the17th century. Today, a great number of Trulli are souvenir shops and amazing hotels, ideal for an unusual stay in Apulia. Alberobello is divided in two areas the most touristic Rione Monti and the most residential Aia Piccola. Strolling about the narrow streets is a really travel experience as well as tasting the local food and speaking with the welcoming residents.
