Tenuta Cammarana

Location
Surrounded by the unspoiled Ibleo Plateau, the Tenuta Cammarana is precisely located in the same district, 10 km far away from Ragusa. The landscape consists of carob, olive and oak trees.

Strolling around the quiet countryside you can enjoy the beauty of Sicilian colours and discover the typical dry stone walls which mark off the land. Good to reach from the Tenuta are interesting sites as the Castle of Donnafugata, Ragusa Ibla, Siracusa and Unesco sites.

If you are also a sea lover, we suggest to visit the Puntasecca beach, only 6 km from the Tenuta.

Hotel
Built in 1778, the Tenuta Cammarana is a family business century jem. It preserves the elegant and sober Neobarocco style, typical of the south of Sicily and it is characterized by warm hospitality.

The 5 rooms are immersed in the garden and in the "court of oranges", an oasis of citrus trees, roses and aromatic and Mediterranean spices. At guests disposal are also a reading room and a library.

Rooms
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. According to Sicilian tradition, the bed are in wrought iron; each one has an independent entrance and overlook the garden or the “corte degli aranci”.

Each room has air conditioning, latex mattress, goose down-filled pillow, internet connection, shower, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee maker, mineral water and welcome sweets. The rooms have no televisions. 

The price includes the use of Turkish bath and finnish sauna at the Wellness Zone.

Sports
For trekking and mountain bike lovers we suggest to take part in natural excursion and discover the amazing trails of botanical interest. At 8 km far away from the Tenuta is the Golf Resort with two 18-hole golf courses and a golf range.

Restaurant
The rich and genuine breakfast, served in a dedicated room or in the garden, is prepared with the fresh and seasonal product of the Tenuta and with local and seasonal ingredients. All dishes are home made as the desserts, jam, honey, cheese and ricotta.

Dinner at the Tenuta Cammarana – at "L'OrtodiSilvia" – is not an ordinary dinner of a Agriturismo or a restaurant. Eating here is a journey into the tradition of family recipes and into old aristocracy of Ragusa. The menus are based on the tradition with seasonal ingredients, paying particular attention to the "mise en place" and the service. There is no specified menu, each morning a menu will be compiled on the basis of seasonal products. "L'OrtodiSilvia" is open only by appointment, therefore please contact us in advance.
