Casa Palmento

Peacefully set on the gently rolling slopes of Mount Etna, Casa Palmento is located at Rovittello, a rural hamlet of Castiglione di Sicilia, a village included in the list of Italy’s most beautiful, between the Etna Park and the Alcantara Gorges.

A 17th century winemaking structure set amidst the vineyards coating the slopes of Etna; a winery which is a point of reference for the area, an expression of the new grape-growing spirit of Sicily; a truly magic place, suspended between past and present, matter and spirit. 

Casa Palmento is a magic blend of hospitality and identity, offering the whole house for the use of guests with the memory of a territory which continues to live in harmony with Mount Etna, the Muntagna.

A large living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, 6 rooms with ensuite and a splendid terrace looking out over the vineyard, all lying in the silence and scents of the Sicilian countryside. 

Arranged in the various buildings which at one time hosted the various steps of the wine-making process, the six rooms of Casa Palmento reinterpret these original spaces and preserve their soul. 

Ancient iron, lava stone, laces and art objects: the care paid to detail is not just simply intended to impress: it pays homage to ancient crafts and skills, to the warm beauty that survives the passing of time, to the local heritage. 

Close to the villa, in the vineyard, there is a newly built infinity pool with salt water.

All different, the rooms have an ensuite bathroom and double bed; the attic room offers two single beds but it can be turned into a double room.

Small dogs allowed on request (extra cleaning charge: € 15,00 per day).
